Forward
By now everyone has heard Dear Leader's re-election campaign slogan:
Of course it would not escape The Smartest Man In The Room that his slogan has been a popular one in the history in Marxism and socialism.
Lenin named his newspaper "Forward."
Under The Leadership Of The Great Stalin - Forward With Communism!
Chairman Mao Says: Forward With Chinese Communism! Or, two from side A and one from side B. Southern Man's Chinese is a little rusty.
Forward with the power of renewal, courtesy of your friendly neighborhood German National Socialist Party. Consistency and Godwin's Law require an additional link.
Coincidence? Take a look at the inspiration for Dear Leader's 2008 speech in Berlin.
In case you can't tell the difference, that's Lenin on the left. Do you still think it's a coincidence that Dear Leader rolled out his socialist / communist slogan during the week ofMay Day International Workers Day?
Here's Southern Man's kind of forward:

I like your 'forward'.

Southern Man, let us pick your brain! There are many signs in the Occupy events thay proclaim "A Job Is A Right!". What's your take on that?
why do all these ows people think they deserve "right" this or "right" that? where is the work ethic? they are supposed to be college educated but have they ever read the constitution? may 12 year nephew has and can quote it to you with an understanding they lack (yes, he is home schooled)
Hard to show your work ethic when you have no job. ;)
Oh, but to reply, I would assume that they know exactly what the Bill of Rights says, that's why they are protesting. Funny that you point out their college education. :p
** Whoops, didn't proof read (again). Change "that's why they're protesting" to "that's why they put it on their signs".
One difference between liberals and conservatives is (and I believe this originated with Thomas Sowell) that liberals are more interested in achieving level outcomes even if this requires unfair processes, and conservatives prefer fair processes and let the outcomes fall where they may. "A job is a right" is about outcome, not process; you "deserve" a job regardless of your abilities or preparations. With all its problems, the USA is still the Land of Opportunity, where you can seek any career you wish - but the outcome is up to you. Do you want your AC repaired by someone who got that job as an entitlement, or someone who worked their way through Vo-Tech and actually knows what they're doing?
is vo-tech like the career centers?
Vo-tech is what we lost with "No Child Left Behind" - half-day classes in auto mechanics, HVAC, masonry, you name it, as a choice for high-school guys who don't want to go to college. Almost everyone I know from high school who did vo-tech instead of college prep owns a business today. Kids today? They don't have that choice - it's either college or whatever unskilled-labor job they can find.
may i use this blog "forward" as a reference in my final paper?
